Dehradun is the capital of Uttarakhand, a young Himalayan state. It is located in the foothills of Himalayas. It is home to a number of colleges, universities and international schools. It has rightly earned the name “Little Oxford of India.” Peaceful, green, surrounded by mountains and India’s holiest rivers the Yamuna and the Ganga, it is a perfect place to quench your intellectual thirst.

It has something to offer to everybody. For the young, it offers ample opportunities for trekking, mountain biking, river rafting, and camping. For the spiritually inclined there are the small towns of Rishikesh and Haridawar that are just a short ride away. Nature lovers would love to visit the National Parks, participate in activities like bird watching, nature walks, etc. If you are looking for gifts to take away to your native country Paltan Bazaar, the Jhanda market and the Rajpur Road are ideal places to clinch the perfect deal.

I underwent a 15-day course, as I am working as a faculty in Dehradun University. So, I hardly spent 10 days. Within these 10 days, they made me capable to take the IELTS exam. However, my entry was for UKVI, but I didn't find any difficulty to cope with existing modus operandi of IELTS. I was expecting 8 overall, however I got myself complacent with 7. I am very thankful to Mr. Mahukar Diman for his generous support.

The accommodation provided by Rose Mount is clean, comfortable and safe. The rooms are well lit and airy. There is a big garden surrounded by trees and flowers, where they can spend their evenings listening to music or playing games or maybe just in silence.

The students are provided accommodation on a twin sharing basis. They can request for a single room but at an extra price. There is a fridge, microwave oven and cooking gas. The students are allowed to cook food on Sundays. On the week days they are served Indian food which is great. Washing machine is available to the students and can use it whenever they need it. They have access to wifi as well. In the vicinity there are a number of stores, park, gym, doctors and hospitals.
