It’s the most ethnically diverse, religiously varied, commercially driven, famously congested, and the most attractive urban center in the USA. New York has more Jews than Tel Aviv, more Irish than Dublin, more Italians than Naples, and more Puerto Ricans than San Juan. ST. JOHN’S UNIVERSITY Our New York City summer program is hosted at St. John’s University during the months of July and August. Founded in 1870, St. John’s is a Catholic and Vincentian university. Its campus encompasses over 100 acres located in a quiet, safe residential neighborhood in one of the five boroughs that make up New York City. The University lies within easy reach of Manhattan, accessible by all public transportation, allowing our students access to the vast cultural, educational, and commercial resources this magnificent city has to offer. St. John’s campus features broad lawns, handsome stone buildings and ultramodern student residence halls. Facilities include high-tech laboratory and classroom buildings, and state-of-the-art facilities for students. RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION Our dorms at St. John’s are typically suite style apartments with single and double occupancy. There is 24/7 security, washers & dryers, microwaves, apartment refrigerators, as well as free Wi-Fi. Our students enjoy many dining and catering options at the recently renovated Dining Hall. Meal plans include all-you-can-eat buffet style dining.
